Welcome Home

We’re thrilled that you’ve visited our site!  Our hope is that you will feel equipped with the right information needed – whether its related to your first visit with us or taking a “next step” in connecting with our church.

Why the name “Woodland?”

We believe our name is God-inspired. Its biblical foundation is Isaiah 55: 12-13:

“You’ll go out in joy; you’ll be led into a whole and complete life. The mountains and hills will lead the parade, bursting with song. All the trees of the forest will join the procession, exuberant with applause. “No more thistles, only giant sequoias, no more thorn bushes, only stately pines— Monuments to me, to God, living and lasting evidence of who I AM.”

As a collective group, you’ll find people at various stages in their faith journey.  It’s why we say that “Woodland is a place for seed to sequoia.”  Our hope is that you find Woodland Church a place where you sense joy and are inspired to the life Jesus has for you.  To accomplish this, we focus our efforts around four tangible areas in giving God our “yes.”

We’d love to have you join us!  Even more, we pray that you experience wholeness and the full life that Christ provides.

Gather

We take Hebrews 10:35 to heart when it encourages us to “not forsake assembling together.”  As the body of Christ, we prioritize connectedness.  From our weekend worship services to our groups and serving teams, we benefit from the learning, friendship, encouragement, and care offered by our Woodland Church family.

Glorify our God

Psalm 150:6 declares, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”  At Woodland, we embrace active participation.   From the singing in our worship services to conversations in our group studies, feel free to jump in with us!  There’s no stupid questions and we respect each other’s contributions while learning together how to live out the truth of God’s Word.

Grow in His Grace

At Woodland, it’s ok to not be ok.  It’s just not ok to stay that way.

We’ve encountered the love of Jesus in our own journeys and experienced His grace in our lives.  We’ve also sensed His love calling us to make progress toward a “whole and complete life.”  That journey takes time and is more about progress than perfection.  It’s why we use the phrase “grow in His grace.”

Go in His Name

The last line of Isaiah 55:13 speaks of “Monuments to God, living and lasting evidence of who I AM.”  Our desire is to shine the love and light of Jesus to our family, our friends, and our community.  We’re honest about our “struggle stories”, but we’re also raving fans of Jesus and delight in sharing what He’s done for us.

What does a service look like?

We meet together for just over an hour on Sunday mornings at both 9:00AM and 11:00AM. Our services open with an engaging and high energy time of worship and prayer followed by a thought-provoking, challenging, and Bible based message.

What should I wear?

Feel free to wear whatever is comfortable to you! During your visit with us you will see people in jeans, dresses, sweatshirts, suits, and everything in between. Come as you are!

What about my kids?

We have a safe, intentionally designed environment just for your kids! Each weekend our Woodland Kids, which includes newborns through 5th graders, learn the truth about who God is and who they are because of Him. When you arrive, one of our Woodland Kids volunteers will be ready to walk you through our secure check-in process and show you to your child’s classroom!
